Privacy policy

This page explains which personal data is processed when you visit piixel.ch or send an assessment request, in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). This is a translation: in case of discrepancy, the French version prevails.

1. Controller

2. Data processed

Free assessment form. When you submit the form, the following information is sent:

• the type of project, the planned timing and budget;
• your name and email address;
• if you provide them: the address of your current website, your company, your phone number and your message;
• the address of the page the request was sent from, and the date and time.

Technical data. As with any website, the host processes your IP address, the date and time, the page requested and the browser type on each visit, in order to deliver the site and keep it secure.

What the site does not do. No cookies, no analytics and no advertising trackers are used. Fonts are hosted on the site: your browser does not contact any third-party service to load them.

“News” section. The headlines shown come from Hacker News. They are fetched by our server: your browser does not contact this service. The links open third-party websites, which apply their own privacy policies.

3. Purposes

Form data is used only to reply to your request, prepare an assessment and a proposal, and then follow up on our working relationship. It is never sold, never used for advertising or newsletters, and never used for profiling. A confirmation email is sent automatically to the address entered in the form.

4. Providers

The site relies on the following processors, who act only on piixel's instructions:

• Vercel Inc. (United States): hosting of the site and processing of the form. The form is processed in Frankfurt (Germany).
• Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc., United States): sending of the email containing your request and of the confirmation email, from Ireland (European Union).
• Infomaniak Network SA (Geneva, Switzerland): piixel's mailbox, which receives and stores emails.

5. Transfers abroad

Vercel and Resend are US companies: your data may be processed in the European Union and in the United States. Vercel is certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the Swiss Federal Council recognises as providing an adequate level of protection. For Resend, transfers from Switzerland rely on the European Union's standard contractual clauses, adapted to Swiss law, as set out in its data processing agreement. The mailbox, hosted by Infomaniak, stays in Switzerland.

6. Retention

Your request is kept for as long as needed to reply to it, then for 24 months after our last exchange. If an engagement is agreed, business records are kept for ten years, as required by the Swiss Code of Obligations. Technical logs are kept for the periods set by the host.

7. Your rights

You can ask to access your data, correct it, delete it, receive it in a common format, or object to its processing. Write to web@piixel.ch: you will receive a reply within 30 days. You can also contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, edoeb.admin.ch).

8. Security

The site is served over HTTPS only. Requests sent through the form are not stored in a database: they are sent by email, and only piixel has access to them.

9. Changes

This page may be updated if the site or the law changes. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.
